My dad Raymond Taylor died 19th January 2007 aged 73, he had been ill for a few years with many different serious medical problems. My mam, myself( im the youngest of 7) and my brothers and sisters were with him when he passed away. It came as a shock to us all because we all said he was too selfish to die and would outlive us all. He could be a right miserable sod when he wanted to be but most of all he was a proper comedian even when he was ill, i told him i had bought some black trousers just in case, what he said i cant put here. My mam and dad had been married for 51 years and had 7 kids , Raymond ,Gail,Alan,Kim,Joanne,Sandra and me Julie, 12 grandchildren and 5 great grand children. He was the only male in a family of girls and had 4 sisters, he lived in moorends as a kid and the rest in thorne. We all loved him in our own ways, and had different ways of showing it, Joanne and Sandra helped alot in his care when he wasnt in hospital and our Raymond was a big help too, me? well im not much good at that sort of stuff im too emotional , i went in and tried to cheer him up. he,d say what do you want? so id say what have you got for me. I never thought id say this but by god we dont half miss you dad its too quiet without you.

my dad was a bit grumpy at times but when i got pregnant with my son daniel he was a great grandad i lived at home with my mum and dad and when dan was born my mum and dad was brilliant they looked after dan like one of their own getting up to do all the nite feeds for me and then loooking after dan while i went back to work i miss my dad i look after him when he was ill like he looked after my dan and will always remember what he did for me in my life xxxxx
